The Board of Directors of the University Higher Education Fund held its twenty-eighth meeting, which is the third meeting during the fiscal year 2018, headed by His Excellency the Minister of Education – Chairman of the Board of Directors – Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Issa, and in the presence of Their Excellencies, Board members and Secretary of the Board of Directors, Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Dakhil.
His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Fund – Secretary of the Board – explained that he was informed of the latest developments, work and activities of the Fund, which aim to enhance its investments in accordance with the investment strategy drawn up by the Board of Directors and emanating from the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. Dr. Al-Dakhil pointed out that the Board took a number of decisions and recommendations that would enhance governance and transparency in all of the Fund’s work procedures. The Council approved the restructuring of the Audit Committee with an elite group of specialized professionals to review the Fund’s financial and administrative policies and procedures. It provides support to the General Secretariat to achieve its goals, By evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management and control, The Council also reviewed the latest developments in the Fund’s real estate investments.
He concluded his speech by saying that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his faithful Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz – may God support them – were keen to develop the educational system with their unlimited support for education and its outcomes, and that it is an important pillar for building society that will elevate the people of our dear country to continue the construction process.
