The Board of Directors of the University Higher Education Fund held its thirty-sixth meeting under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Minister of Education – Chairman of the Board of Directors – Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh and in the presence of Their Excellencies and Excellencies members of the Board, His Excellency the Minister of Education began the meeting by welcoming the members of the Council and praising their efforts in everything that would achieve the goals that the universities aspire to.
His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Fund – Secretary of the Board – Dr. Turki bin Sulaiman Al-Zumai explained that during the meeting, the latest developments, work and activities of the Fund were reviewed, which aim to enhance its investments in accordance with the investment strategy drawn up by the Board of Directors and emanating from the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. Which included the opening of the Grand Millennium Jazan Hotel, Dr. Al-Zumai indicated that the Council took a number of decisions and recommendations that would achieve the Fund’s objectives, develop its work and activities, and raise its performance by strengthening its relationship with universities and continuing to finance university projects and programs. His Excellency the Minister of Education – Chairman of the Board of Directors – and their Excellencies and Excellencies the members of the Board, We are keen to ensure that the Fund supports university education initiatives and programmes. Enhancing universities’ internal resources and financial sustainability.
He concluded his speech by saying that the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his faithful Crown Prince, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz – may God support them – is keen on developing the educational system with unlimited support for education to advance the people of our dear country to continue the process of building and giving.
